Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Map Zone! Hello and welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Map Zone. Here we strive to give you the all of the latest in custom maps for Team Fortress 2. Our database holds any map found by our team, no exceptions. We also have a forum where map authors can share their maps and receive some feedback on them as well. There are some things to be noted about our maps database, however. First off, our maps are archived in .7z format, so in order to extract them you need a program such as WinRAR or WinZip. Also, due to the large amount of maps that come in, we do not always have access to the author's information, so if you see your map here and want credit, simply contact Bo0m! or make a post on the forums and we will correct it. Bookmark us and enjoy your visit! +--------------------------------------------------------+ Wow, didn't see this one coming. Well as you may have seen I promised to update the site a couple nights ago, however I can assure you that I have a legitimate reason for not doing so. The past few days I've been bedside sick with something fierce. It went from what we thought was just a sinus infection to something worse, so tomorrow morning I need to go get some bloodwork done. In any case, I apologize once again to everyone who visits this site, but this time I can assure you that it will be updated by this weekend, now with about 100 new maps. Also planned for the future is a video section for all the maps, basically a youtube-esque area where you can have a walkthrough of the map before even downloading it. However before getting that up, I need to fix fraps because some reason it doesn't run on my computer or find a faster way to convert demo's to video files. So, in a nutshell, I made a promise and failed to keep it due to unseen sickness, this weekend I will actually make an update, and in the near future there will be a very nice feature for viewing maps.

New maps coming tonight, I promise. So if anyone has noticed there are quite a few maps going around that are missing here. That's my fault for not making an update yet. Tonight will hold a huge update with around 70 new maps, I still need to take screenshots for all of them, but once that is finished they will be uploaded and ready to go. So check back later tonight, you should notice something :)

The TF2 SDK Cometh! As you may or may not have already heard, the TF2 SDK is finally being released! Hi All-
I wanted to let you all know that I have finished testing the SDK update and it will go live tomorrow morning. Thanks very much for your patience while I spent extra time testing it out.
The main purpose of this release is to get the updated content creation tools in the hands of the community. The next major release will include the client and server DLL code for Episode 2 although there may be a couple of minor releases before that to address any problems.
Here are the interesting things to know about the release:
1. The new SDK contains tools for creating content compatible with both the Ep1 and Orange Box versions of the Source Engine. 2. By default the SDK launcher will launch the Orange Box versions of Hammer, Face Poser, and Model Viewer. 3. Adding ‘-engine ep1’ to the launch options for the Source SDK tool will set the launcher to run the Ep1 versions of Hammer Face Poser, and Model Viewer 4. There is a .vmf file for one of the shipping Portal maps in the 'sourcesdk_content' directory - testchmb_a_05.vmf. I will add an example map for Team Fortress 2 in a subsequent release. 5. When running the Orange Box versions of the 'studiomdl' and 'vtex' you should include '-nop4' on the command line to bypass our Perforce integration with these tools. I will eliminate this need in a subsequent release.
We're launching the new SDK on the morning of 11/07 so that I can be available to make fixes as soon as you get your hands on the SDK. Once it goes live please post to this thread if you see problems. We aren't able to release this version of the SDK as a beta so I will try to act as quickly as possible to fix problems and put out an update. __________________ Mike Durand Valve
We expect a large influx of maps to be released this following week, so check back often!

Screenshots fixed, more maps added! Let me begin by apologizing for all of the original screenshots, my graphics settings were on low and fullbright was set to 1 for unknown reasons. However, all the screenshots have been updated, they are no longer crappy looking, so once again, please forgive me, I have fixed them. Aside from that, we have added 27 new maps. Check them out! Small site tweaks, three more maps added. The website has been tweaked for users who view it under Internet Explorer 6 or lower. The random image on the top left now properly shows and loads quicker. Also the link to us button has been fixed, and a better link to us picture will be made eventually. Site tweaks aside, we have added 3 more maps to our database. Enjoy! Also, if you like the site, why not register and post on the forums? We need a community for input and whatnot! Thanks. Click below to view new maps added. [ Read the rest... ]
